To consider joining In the consolidation. Heard this on news center 5...I think It would work..Any thoughts?

That would be difficult to pull off I think.
One goal of three schools was somewhat equal enrollment (same new floor plans, teacher/student ratios, etc), and throwing Norton into the works would complicate that.

Would the Norton City School system dissolve completely and Wise County take on the elementary schools also..

I don't think so, the article I read it was just the HS.

So then they'd have a split school system between elementary and HS.

Yep. That is what I thought too. Could have been a misprint. I just don't ever think it will happen. Norton will pick up some enrollment when they do consolidate for those on the out skirts of the City limits and don't want to travel to the new schools.

I was assuming they would keep the elementary school open, just have it in the Wise Co. system. But I have no horse in the race so it's just an assumption.
